Fiqh is the practical side of faith: how we pray, fast, keep ourselves pure and conduct our daily affairs. Ja'fari fiqh draws on the Qur'an and the teachings of the Prophet (s.a.w.w.) and the Imams of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.).

For most students, the first questions are about taharah (purity), wudu, and the details of salah. These are the foundation, and they are taught first in our Fiqh course.

Questions about contemporary situations, such as travel, work and modern transactions, are also discussed, always with reference to the rulings of the marja a student follows.

Our Fiqh classes leave time at the end of every lesson for questions, because practical knowledge is best learned by asking.
